You might be able to have a good machine shop put in bushings.
If you plan on some mods to your L98 you might just install a 52mm AS&M TB. Or perhaps AS&M can rebuld your stock unit; they aren't far from you.

No, the OEM throttle body just has holes bored or cast in the casting. In process myself of trying to bore out o/s holes and using oilite bearings. Mine is an 89 but should be similar type set up.

I replaced mine with an exchange unit from TPIS. It fixed all kinds of driveability problems (high idle while coasting, RPM hunting on startup, sticking throttle). You can order one and send yours back to them for core credit once you receive the new one.
