Re: Holley StealthRam modifications to clear hood (grumpyvette)
Grumpy,
I'm on board with you so long as they don't run the cost up to the point where I might as well buy a miniram or something like that.
I do have one other little question: When they are modifying, are they also going to modify so that the "big" factory distributor will fit? That would save me another $250 or so.

Re: Holley StealthRam modifications to clear hood (JoBy)
I have a few questions.
First, why is it called the Stealth Ram? What's stealthy about having a hole in your hood, or a scoop?
Second, are you guys familiar with computer software that these designs can be formed around? It would suck to go to all that effort and have flow imbalances (ie miniram?) There's gotta be more to it than a box with smooth holes in it. Air flow isn't very intuitive.
Find yourself a college student looking for a senior project to study these things. He or she would be especially inclined to help, if there were parts and knowledgable engine builders to work with and test available, and business opportunities. Hey, I'm a college student, looking for a senior project... I'm sure all the good ideas haven't been thought of yet.
