You have zero need to upgrade your TB until you've upgraded the rest of the intake system. Once you've enlarged the plenum/runners/base, you may see some small gains from a TB change, but this is not a part that gives you a bunch of HP even then.
If you change to MR, you will need to do a lot of things as well to get the combination correct. Dont know if your current injectors to feed the cam you have are enough with this added airflow, and finally a chip tune. Do not just blindly swap a MR on there without thinking out what you want from the car.
I upgraded to the Holley 52mm only because the shaft on my original was sticking and another forum member was selling one.
Noticed a little better throttle response but overall the same performance.

I would. Others may disagree. I used to run a 58mm on a 383 with good results.
Sure...but you've got a 600 hp motor, or so.
Only reason why you'd put a TB on a stock or stockfish TPI would be to have more throttle reaction/response. Is it worth it? Probably not. For the price of a TB you could buy a cam which would increase power 10X more than a TB will.
