I would. Others may disagree. I used to run a 58mm on a 383 with good results.

It would wise to also upgrade the runners.

does the minni ram really help that much cause you have to buy there fuel rail also and then bigger injectors?

You have zero need to upgrade your TB until you've upgraded the rest of the intake system. Once you've enlarged the plenum/runners/base, you may see some small gains from a TB change, but this is not a part that gives you a bunch of HP even then.

If you change to MR, you will need to do a lot of things as well to get the combination correct. Dont know if your current injectors to feed the cam you have are enough with this added airflow, and finally a chip tune. Do not just blindly swap a MR on there without thinking out what you want from the car.

I upgraded to the Holley 52mm only because the shaft on my original was sticking and another forum member was selling one.
Noticed a little better throttle response but overall the same performance.
Mine is a stock 89'

IIRC, unless you are going north of 500, it is not worth the upgrade.

Sure...but you've got a 600 hp motor, or so.

Only reason why you'd put a TB on a stock or stockfish TPI would be to have more throttle reaction/response. Is it worth it? Probably not. For the price of a TB you could buy a cam which would increase power 10X more than a TB will.

I agree. 48 mm is what GM has on the LT4 cars in 96. I think they flow nearly 660-700 CFM.

More than enough for a 350 TPI car at 230-250 hp. Even if you are making that at the wheels with your upgrades, that’s plenty of throttle body.
