You've got the link to there web site, they flow 199 cfm through a stock base ( std runners flow181cfm ) and 206 through a ported base ( stk flow 196 ) and 211 cfm through a larger aftermarket base. :D
They are the best runners from a flow and performance point of view for LTR'S :yesnod:
We flowed them while we were putting the motor together....218 CFM they flow all on their own. [Edit] Of course now they show that the LTR's flow 260 CFM on the AS&M site...not so sure if I believe that unless they changed the size of the tubes.
We keyed the rest of the intake flows off the runners.
Maybe that 260cfm figure is for their siamesed runners
and they got it wrong on the site typo wise... duno
I agree with you 218 sounds about right for the runners on there own.
When you say, so they are better than siameses runners, i think that would depend on the apllication and egine spec. I have heard that they perform better than some siamesed runners ( no loss of low speed torque ) but i have not run them myself, so cannot offer a tested opinion. If you are running an auto i would go with the asm's
I'm running 12.8's on asm's others have gone 12.2 so i will not ever change mine as i think you only gain 2-300 rpm.
I would go super ram if i ever upgrade my intake :)
I agree with Blue One on this... depends on the application.
You CAN get 400 FWHP from the LTR's, and if you want the upper RPM breathing can siamese the base to get there. It gives you the stealth of "...just another TPI" and quite honestly I like the looks of them.
Mine are now powder-coated with black wrinkle-coat along with the valve-covers and entire intake. I should have the motor back next week and can start installing it again. I'll dyno it again and post what the siamesed base added to the package, as that is the only change we did (long story...spun 2 rod bearings).
I saw some comparisons before we built this the first time, and they flowed all of the aftermarket runners. The AS&M LTR's came out on top as far as flow was concerned...even over the siamesed runners. It is one of the contributing factors into why I picked them over anything else.
