Default Missing Wire Connector

Bought a used C4 yesterday at a really good price to add to my collection now totaling a whole two Corvettes. Had it inspected and no one (including myself) noticed the missing connector where the red circle is. I have no idea what they were thinking with the taped wires in the yellow circle either, but price was really good and I can fix that. However can someone tell me where that cut wire with the missing connector should connect to and where? Took it to a local guy here in Central Florida and he wouldn't even touch it due to the taped up wires on the harness. As always, thanks so much for any help and guidance!

I'm not seeing the A/C compressor, was it removed? If so, that may be a lead for it.

I'm assuming that's a LT1, so it is not the same as my L98. Best suggestion I can give is list the year, and what are the color of the wires in the wire wrap.
Also if you don't have a FSM, get one as soon as you can.

Good luck.

Whoops, sorry. It's a 1992 and the wires look to be gold (maybe brown) and black. Since you mentioned A/C, I have had cold air since I bought it yesterday. However, I get code H66 for the A/C pressure Sensor from what I just found. If it is that, why would someone just hack it off?

the connector down at the water pump thats not plugged in is ECT(engine coolant temp). My guess is you dont have a coolant temp read out or it defaults to some value.

Thank you! That comes directly out of the harness so I assume I am going to have to solder some wires attached to a new connector to fix it. Sorry for my limited knowledge, but will I have to use a specific type of wire for that? Also I have an adle of around 1k when sitting in drive and over that in P or N. I know that mess of taped wires goes to the TPS. If I solder what bubba taped up and fix it right, might that fix it or it it better to just buy a new TPS. I have history codes stored of H15, H21, H22, H64, H66 for reference if it matters. Again, I apologize for my ignorance. My old 66 Impala is much easier to deal with than this lol.

yes I would fix wires with solder and heat shrink and not butt or crimp connectors.

TPS I know is sensitive to odd voltage issues that can be introduced in wires, same as o2 sensors.

If you need any connectors this has been my go to source for any and all connectors: https://bmotorsports.com/shop
