Default Power Effects On

Hello,

I received my Power Effects exhaust for my 88 last Friday, and got around to having it put on today. Let me say, it is awesome! It's much louder than stock, and I don't regret my buy one bit.

I went ahead and had my precats cut off. The right precat was empty -- it may as well have been a straight pipe already. The one on the left still had the screens on either side, but I couldn't see through it. I'm wondering what happened to the screens on the right side though, and if they're maybe stuck in the main cat if it'll cause any problems.

As for the main cat itself.. there's a huge exhaust leak in it, as the main cat has a hole in it for some reason or another. Will I run into any problems if I just put a pipe in its place? There is no emissions testing here, so that won't be a problem.

Anyway, there's a noticable increase in power, probably because I have the clogged precat off now. I guess I find it kinda funny that the three pieces on my exhaust that are required by law to be on were causing my car to choke and die.

To sum it up.. Power Effects is good.

I want them sooo bad.... I just cant blow $900 on just an exhaust system right now....
Are they really loud in the full open position???
What about fully closed???
I want my car to sound reliatively stock.... then when I get up to race whoever, all i got to do it open it up.... I dont want them to know anything is done to it until i smoke them hahaa
But I dont mind it a little louder then stock... thats fine.... just not obviuosly aftermarket from idle in another car
Ugh I want them so bad

PEs were very high on my list to get. But I got such a great deal on the Flowmasters I couldn't pass them up.
