Re: When do i need new fuel pump and injectors? (devilfish)
TPIS told me my engine was boarderline on the stock fuel pump so i bought one of there high output bosch pumps. i'm making around 425hp at the flywheel. normally people change out the pump at the 400hp. another reason i did is becuase my car is a 1990 & that's a lot of years on the pump & also the injectors. i have an extra set of bosch pintile injectors that have all been flow balanced i'd be willing to part with for $220USD, TPIS sold the injectors to a friend of mine who later upgraded to a larger size {they were $495.00 from tpis}. these are 24lb/hr & have less than one oil change on them. just ask if you'd like to see any pics.

yes please, pics would be nice.
So if im around 400hp at the crank, the stock inj and pump would be fine?
Is it good to flow test the inj to se if they is good? And what should they flow?
Re: When do i need new fuel pump and injectors? (vader86)
the stock pump can probably hold but again it's aged. the injectors i do think should be changed, i mean they are 12yrs old, that's a lot of gas firing through them. i'll take a pic of them & post back within 6hrs
Re: When do i need new fuel pump and injectors? (devilfish)
It should support it, however if you run a power adder such as Nitrous, it is an excellent idea to get an upgraded pump at the very least. Not sure if you are or not so I thought I would throw it out there.
When my car came back from LPE In 1997, it had larger 26# injectors...but everything else was stock(Save for an adj regulator). I upgraded to a vortec truck pump though, and it's been working fine. My Car makes 440 hp at the crank.

What size are stock L98 injectors?
The LT1 has 24's from the factory and can easily support 400 at the flywheel. I'm pushing 365 at the wheels using my stock fuel pump. I've got some SVO 24# injectors that I got at a good price. I'm not sure that I need them, but they certainly won't hurt anything.
I'm thinking about upgrading to a set of SVO 30's that I can again get at a good price.

stock for the 90-91 is the rochester 22lb/hr ball injector, they probably would be alright at 350-375hp if they were working perfectly, it's just fish has 12yr old injectors. i know mine were about kuput when i pulled them out before i bought the new 24's. going to a 24lb like the lt1s had also will carry a person to 450hp pretty well.
Re: When do i need new fuel pump and injectors? (gtsyellow)
Im thinking of getting VOLVO 850 R injectors. They are a direct fit, and flow 36 lb/h:) I can get 8 of those for $300 here in Sweden. WHat fuel pump should I get. I whant to be on the safe side..
Re: When do i need new fuel pump and injectors? (devilfish)
36 lb/h would be way over kill. you'd have to turn the pressure way down to keep it from running really rich and then you'd get a crappy spray pattern. (assuming you're still at 350 cu in and not super charged)

i wouldn't think UPS would be very expensive to ship there, maybe $30-40usd, does your country have heavy import fees? i don't mind working with you somewhat, i just have two sets of these & wouldn't mind selling the second
