Maybe he’s too busy and hasn’t check in.
There’s at least 3 of us on here that are interested in doing the C7 brakes and willing to pay for the brackets.
I’ll pay for a CNC file and have it made in my area.
I just wan5 to make it work.
I hope it happens one day

Just curious guys has anyone checked if the C6 ZR1 calipers can bolt up to the street shop inc. C4 to C6 Z06 hub? C6 ZR1 brakes are pretty similar in stopping power to C7 Z07 brakes aren't they?

I have C6 Z06 brakes on my 88' with the street shop hub, I don't intend to switch but if anyone has a C6 ZR1 rear caliper and rotors hanging around and wants to send it to me I could give it test fit and theb mail them back after the test fit...

The C6 ZR1brakes will bolt up with the street shop hubs.
My problem is that I got a good deal on C7 ZR1 rotors and jumped on it, taking a chance.
C6 ZR1 rear rotors are 15” and C7 ZR1 rear rotors are 15.3”
I don’t want to buy the calipers and dig a bigger hole if I can’t get rear hubs that will work.

This is great information for the C4 Community.
Thank you!

Quick question do the C6 ZR1 front calipers also bolt up to front C4 to C6Z06 caliper adpater brackets?

The C6 ZR1 calipers are supposed to bolt up to the C4 ZO6 adapter brackets.
There is a guy on instagram that goes by the handle, thecallawayz, and he has the C6 ZR1 brake set up on his.
He shared all the info with me.
He’s happy to help out.
He told me to use van steel front adapters, street shop rear parking brake/hubs and to contact Tobin at Kore3 for the brake hoses.
He uses a his stock master cylinder and everything works.
His newer car also has centre bolt wheels.
absolutely beautiful.

The C7 ebrake is different than C6.Just wondering if you ever got the Ebrake to work with the C7 ZR1 calipers.
Also on the front the caliper needs extra machine work before it will bolt to the vansteel adapter.

I think you missed the entire point...

NO ADAPTER NEEDED on the front. None...it only needed a 1/4" spacer to align the caliper with the rotor. Do you see an adapter?

I was referring to the C6 ZR1 caliiper with the Van Steel bracket. What did you do about the different size rear Ebrake shoe, in the C7 rear rotor ?

Haven't addressed it yet...the Street Shop Inc. rear adapter will work fine, I think the solution will be having the e-brake shoes relined with thicker material and it'll work fine.

These aren't ZR1 calipers, BTW...they are C7 Z07 calipers (that the C7 ZR1 also used)...a technicality but I try to be as accurate as possible.

I specifically joined this website because of just this thread. Curious on any updates

also, you said you did a 1/4 spacer. What did you space out? the rotor or the caliper? I’m actually building a 56 Chevy Restomod with C4 suspension and was gonna do C6 break upgrade but heck, Z06 C7’s way better!

I'm working on carbon-fiber parts for the car right now.

The spacer is between the caliper and the steering knuckle...to push the caliper outboard to center the caliper on the rotor.

thank you for getting back with me. OK sounds good. Definitely going to keep following. I actually just had to go buy another front end because mine is 1984, and I didn’t realize the difference between the caliper mounting on the later year model C4’s. For now, I finally have what I need to be able to get the calipers to convert over.
