Default 88 c4 , electric coolant fan issues

Hey guys , having some issues with the electric coolant fan , its a 1988 c4 , fan will not come on , i was told to jump from port a to port b at the obdi , all that happens is it clicks at 2 relay switches at drivers side firewall behind the battery , and it also clicks at 2 switches next to the a/c compressor . I was also told by the fan on the shroud to check the relay there and see if theres power by checking the center pin , and there is power there . So what should my next course of action be ? Ohh and what temp should the fan actually come on at , i was told 226 degrees , that correct??any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I'd think at this point you do a 'direct connect' to the fan motor and see if it runs. I'm assuming we're talking about the primary fan 'behind' the radiator. Turn on/operation on early cars would be based maybe on what modifications if any had been done to the system. Does it only have the 'single' fan or also the AUX fan forward of the condenser?

The clicking tells me that at least the ECM and sensors are calling for the fan to turn on. I agree with the previous poster. Try to directly connect to the fan.
