Never buy anything but AC/Delco. I just changed mine 3 time, The first one was a Cobra brand. 14psi at an hot oil idle. Second one a Napa ekler brand, 18 psi at a hot oil idle. Ac/delco unit 38 at a hot idle and 65 on the hi-way. Here I was trying to cut corners Cobra brand $18 Napa brand $36 Delco unit $18    And yes that was tested with a oil line hard wired in..

Default Oil sending unit..

Thanks for the warning. I've pretty much used ac parts only.

I did learn from using the hypertech cap-rotor-coil. DO NOT use the nylon screws that come with that kit. My rotor was about to fly off.

Glad to hear it's aok Rich.

Along the same lines---

I just bought a new one (Delco) that I haven't installed yet (motor's still out). I noticed that the new one really rattles---- Old one doesn't (it was still working. I just thought I'd change it while it was easy to reach). Are they supposed to rattle or did I get a bad one? Anyone notice?
