Team, looking for some help with a problem. The A/C compressor bracket on my 1990 C4 L98 Z51 Coupe broke. Apparently this part is an out of stock unicorn which is proving hard to find on the used market. Have a bunch of inquires out. The normal alternative (though not desirable in a C4) is to delete the A/C system, however the pulley tensioner is mounted to this bracket which eliminates that option. I can't find the info, was the C4 offered with out A/C using a different bracket. Is there anyone here on the forum that has eliminated the A/C for say track purposes on an L98 and done something other than use the A/C bracket for the pulley tensioner?

Before we go there, why did it break? Fatigue or did you not have all 3 braces in place? Ask me how I know.
All braces have been in place, however the car spent 22 seasons competing in Autocross with 4 championships (Cal Club Region SCCA) and accumulated 135K miles before being retired and rebuilt in 2014. My guess is fatigue but really don't know. Would like to find a replacement part, but can have it welded if need be. Just means it takes up a space at my mechanic for an extended time. Live in a condo these days and can't work on the car a home anymore.

I think I have a spare one. PM me if you want it. Make me an offer I cannot refuse
Thank you for the link, that wasn't there Friday when I checked. Are you the eBay seller because I will buy that one it's a little more than I would have guessed at the start but not at all unfair, or did you have one you wanted to sell separately. The one on eBay looks really clean and solid almost like new old stock.

No I am not the seller of the NOS unit. Mine is a used unit. I have a used one.
