I recently bought an 85 corvette and have gone through some basic maintance but im unable to smog because i have a ses code 23(iat high voltage) after the car is warmed up at idle and also causes a rough idle you can hear every few minutes, it goes away after 2nd gear. Upon further inspection ive found the sensor is completely unplugged and the corresponding electrical plug was left hanging and melted by the exhaust manifold. I tested the 5v refence from the plug and came up with 2.94v. I unwrapped some electrical tape up to the main harness and cant find any exposed wire? What is my next step? From other posts i had thought iat shouldnt affect fuel mixture? Any help will be greatly appreciated
