Smog pipe
Hey guys just cut off the exhaust on my 85 Corvette I put on long tube headers and I’m taking it I’ve to the exhaust shop soon to get straight pipes to the back I noticed there was a pipe that came out the CAT and ran up to the engine bay by the passenger side in to a check valve I believe they call it a smog pipe I may be wrong but what do I do with it do I leave it open now because the pipe with the car is no longer there or do I cap it off so it’s closed I don’t know what to do please help

It is part of your emission system. Your air pump pushes air to your catalytic converter on cold start to heat things faster and complete burning of the exhaust. You can safely remove this with no effect to your engine and no codes. Complete the cycle by removing all the pumps from your engine and getting a pulley to replace further reducing drag,
