i recently purchased a Ruby Red 1993 40th anniversary c4, 6 speed to replace my 1994 auto , i was planning to do a HOT cam swap over the winter, then sold the 94 to buy the 93, im thinking i will need a tune after the cam swap , what is a good outlet to send the pcm to get tuned, or can the 93 be tuned vis laptop ?
I'm running one of their mail order tunes on my hotcam 40th and it has been great with idle set at 875rpm. Just did some logging this week and shared it with them...no concerns.
Find yourself a good tuner that will dyno tune or datalog tune. Once you have that, you can work with them on what heads go with what intake and LT headers and cam, etc. It has to work as a system and not a cam from here, heads from there, intake from over there, etc.
Good to hear the tune is good on the Ruby! 9T3Vette will be of great help I'm sure. OP, are you going to do longtubes as well?
yes lt are in the plans as well, with some port matching intake and porting of heads, im not looking for a radical change , just a nice bump in performance.

I'm thinking of going the same route. I have a 93 auto that only has 35k miles and is stone stock except for muffler elims. In a week or so I'm swapping in a D44 with 3.45 gears. I want a smidge more out of it but it needs to stay emissions compliant so I'm thinking a full Hotcam kit and mail order tune (since none of the tuners locally want anything to do with LT cars). Was hoping someone would chime in with results/impressions that had done this.
Side note: GM has a $75 rebate on this kit if you buy it this month.

How about Arizona Speed and Marine? They were Accel EMIC at some point and they had L98 stuff so maybe if you ask nicely, someone can and will dyno tune?
92-93 ecm speed density is super dependant on o2 sensors, only use ac delco and dont dare solder o2 sensor wire extensions if you go to long tube headers.
need to use proper extension wiring harness and/or posi lock style connectors.
