1995 corvette automatic
I have a problem with my automatic transmission ,when i start it up and drive my trans will shift properly but after 2 1/2 to 3 miles it will shift out of high gear .i change the trans fluid still the same problem .i barely drive the car during the summer never dog it ,no racing at all HELP ME PLEASE .Could it be a trans solenoid ? 2COLDHT

If you're rolling out and the car is FINE.. It goes backwards. Forwards.. Everything is perfect, the 1/2 shift is perfect.. Then it either flares on the 2/3 shift or it flares when you give it a little throttle, you have a PSI issue in the transmission. If you lose pressure anywhere in the 4L60/e, it will cause a flare or no gear for 3rd and 4th.
If that is the condition you are experiencing, it is dying and you really shouldn't take it very far. It will eventually lose those two gears altogether and you'll have to beat it back home in second. This is a very, very common issue with that transmission.
