Simply put, if someone had a 96 C4 that had been tuned by a tuner from a past owner, tuning still in car, then the new owner wished to change gear ratios in rear end, could the new owner use a Hypertech power programmer (not locked) to correct for new rear gear ONLY without losing the tuning done by previous owner?
I'm thinking not selecting "install power programming", just change rear end gear ration via Hypertech Power Programmer. Or, rev limiter, or cooling fans for that matter.
Or, if you put the car "back to stock" using the hypertech, would it put it back the way it was tuned? or back to "GM stock"?
You can change those things without changing the engine tune. It gives you the option to keep the engine tune stock but you can still change things like fan temp turn on, gear ratio and tire diameter without affecting the tune.
