Default Computer Chips

Hello all

When I purchase my rear end gears (2.59-3.73) I need a new computer chip. There are simple chips you can buy to do this but I was thinking of something like Hypertech or something to get the "advertised" boost. Has anyone tried these aftermarket chips? I have read some mixed experiences.

Most aftermarket "performance" chips are totally worthless.

For a 94, you dont have a chip per se, you have to flash the computer to make it change settings. For this youll need some thing like a Hypertech PP. The Power Programmer is good for changing gear settings (shift points and recalibrating the speedo) and also to change the fan temperatures.

Other than that its worthless.

If you had mods like cam, heads, ported intake and headers, id go with Ed Wright at Fastchip.com

But for now a Hypertech PP will work for you.
