please help with edlebrock runners...
These things have been the biggest pain. Now I need longer lower torx bolts because the factory ones are not long enough. Bolts wont do, because I cant get the socket on a bolt head once it goes far enough in to thread. I need longer torx bolts. Anyone know where I can get them and if they are even available?

sounds like you bought them used, they should come with allen head bolts that are longer stock. find a hardware store & they should have a allen head bolt that fits the bill. just take a stock bolt with you, find a nut it fits then find the right size allen head that fits the nut at the right length. when your checking bolt length a easy trick is to use some .030 welding wire & put it in the hole to check depth. this will give you a rough idea of how long of bolt you'll need. most torx heads are too big too fit the lower part of the runner, the allens are a much easier fit down there.

Thanks for the advice, I will do that! I was really concerned about it for a while, and have a hellofa time putting them on, until I figured out, hey, these are the wrong size... :rolleyes:
