I just had my B&B Triflow catback installed . It originally came with a large center resonator and I traded mine in (new) to B&B for an Xpipe, straight trade (I think stainless works sells them for $300 ish). There was a great post in the ZR-1 section with before/after dyno results on a 450 rwhp ZR-1 and the X pipe was good for around 11-12 rwhp over the resonator. On my car (~300 rwhp) I am assuming its worth around ~5 rwhp or so.
It is approx 15 lbs lighter than the resonator , but definitely does resonate more. It sounds great ....... :seeya

Has anyone placed the x pipe in front of the resonator, or is that just a bad idea? In other words, would there be any gain w/ the x pipe in with the resonator or does the leaving it in just defeat the purpose? Is there room to do so?
