Default Why do my control rods look like this?

I’ve had the car (96) for just over a year and I’m in the process of rebuilding a lot of the front suspension and a little of the rear. I’m curious as to why my control rods don’t look like the cast aluminumrods from the factory, and just fyi my rear sway bar measures out to 24mm, when everything I read online says that it should be 26mm given the rpo code.

P.s. My dumb *** also rounded the head off two of the caliper bracket bolts so now I’m waiting on an extractor socket in the mail, and I’m ordering new ones from the dealership this morning.

Your rods are a '96 only spec. With no F45 you could use any of the rods. If they were still available from GM the later like yours would likely have been used for all previous years. If you've no issues with bushings I doubt you need to be concerned.
