I got my car finished this weekend. Some of you may remember or not, but I had and issue of an overlashed valve that tapped a piston. Well That was a month ago and I finally took it to a shop I know in KC to have them inspect/fix it. Everything up to this point I did myself, just ran out of time and wanted to drive it before winter!
Anyway, They did a compression check on that cylinder and it was good so they replaced the pushrod and re lashed all the valves. Picked it up yesterday and It feels really strong! I am going to try to get some runs but most tracks around here are closed already. I hope maybe KCIR may have a few grudge days in Novemeber. I'm also going to get it to a Dyno.
I want to see what this setup is doing and how far off I am from my goals.
Thanks to Chris P. from Next Generation for the package and all the help.
As well as too everyone here for help and advice! I'll post #'s as soon as
I get em!
Also where can I go online to get that scanner program and a cable to hook to my laptop?
Yes I just moved back to Kansas City. I am getting ready to open a new location there for my company. However currently I am working in our Bolivar location, not to far from you.
Hows your car coming? I haven't had much time to get down to rogersville much this season, just a few times.
I got Datamaster and the appropriate cable from Andrew Mattei at AKM Electronics. Great products and great service, not to mention he is the cheapest around for Datamaster. http://www.mindspring.com/~amattei/akmelect.htm
I will definately post any numbers as soon as I can get some runs in.
Track and dyno.
The cam is a custom grind I don't have the specs handy but the lift is like
.572/.596 with 1.6 rockers. Sorry I am at work and thats about all I can remember from it. Its lumpy! Up top it pulls awesome!
