What do you recommend as the best place to get these parts for my '96? I need to replace the pellets, and plan to replace the gears at the same time. I'm going with plastic gears. I see some kits with grease, some without, some with seals, some without, etc. I want to replace whatever is necessary while I am in there so they last another 20+ years. Thanks!
They are available in every parts store. Dorman 74410, usually in the Help! Section. All you need are the pellets. Don’t worry about the gears. Just a waste of money.

The plastic pellets should do the job. If you need a gear, get the nylon gear not the brass. You want the gear to strip and not destroy the motor. Motors are $350 or more. Sacrifice a much cheaper gear rather than a motor.
IF you pay for labor, less expensive to purchase reman @ $ 65 EA.. AND you get some warranty .just did this job on my CE , $100 HR labor adds up quick.....
I thought there was something about grease .... details anyone?
I used synthetic "Super Lube" grease that comes in a tube for about $5 from Harbor Freight.
Also, you might also want to purchase their cheap set of roll pin punches to tap the roll pin out. If it happens that one of your roll pins breaks (one of mine did), you can probably find a replacement at NAPA. Other places, like Home Depot, may have them in the bins of specialty fasteners in their hardware section.
