Re: (scorp508)
We spoke with some of John's staff this morning, here is the most recent update..
John's stable enough this morning for surgery. He has sustained injuries to his spine on top of injuries to the head. He is surgery as I sent this out. Family are with him in California.
Hope he's back good as new. He had problems with that car last month. It was getting all Squirrley on him in a race I saw earlier in the summer. Gotta get him back racing V8s and out of those rice monsters. Anyone seen any video? Sounds like he had a hard hit. From one of the boards, broke his back or neck, lost all his teeth, and his brain was swelling. Bad news. :blueangel:
Weirdly enough, I was chatting with him in Dallas last month and he pulled up his sleeve, showing us a huge bruise on his shoulder which he had just gotten from flipping his Cavalier the previous week at the strip! He was laughing about the whole thing...how he went through the traps upside down....
It's sad when anyone get hurt/injured in racing, nevermind when its one of the worlds most renowned tuners/engine builders. All the best to him and his family :seeya :seeya
My best wishes to John , his family , and his friends as well. From all of us at the forum we wish you a speedy recovery and a complete one as well. :blueangel: :blueangel: :blueangel: :blueangel:
