I tried the radio when I first got the car in August and it sounded pretty average so left it off for the time being. I found an old cassette tape yesterday and tried it out and the system sounded quite reasonable. An on line search suggests I need an FM band changer so that the radio will tune to the even numbers used in this country, so for example where in the US a station might be 90.1 FM here it would be 90.2 This will improve the reception a lot.
I understand that these plug into the aerial socket on the radio then the aerial plugs into them.
Given that the Bose system seems to be spread halfway around the car on a '93 which part of the Bose unit does the aerial plug into and where is it?

Band shifter arrived today so now all I have to do is figure out which wire will give me power for it when the radio is on. I haven't got a FSM yet so if anyone has a pic of the connections I would appreciate a copy
Check the pink @ the receiver box and see if it's powered when the radio is on. Using a test light I'd think it easy to source which is powered 'ON' when radio is on.
Most cars I've owned with digital radios there's a button combination to get the radio to switch to even tuning. Maybe not on the C4 since it had no significant market outside the US.
The power wire you need is the one going to the power antenna so it will be right there with the antenna cable.
The CDM (tuner) location is different depending on model year and coupe vs vert.
