Default Knee pad on 89

Can anyone tell me how to remove the carpeted knee pad? Passenger side 89 coupe. Can't find how it releases from the console side. Need to get to blend door actuator.

Im not sure about a 89 , but my 84 that I took apart yesterday took awhile but I found them , take the top dash pad cover off , from the top there will be four 13 mm fastener hex nuts holding the kneed pad to mount brackets.. I hope this is right for you . DrB

For the passenger side knee carpet most of the screws are in front, along the side near the fuse panel, and one way back toward the firewall that is located mid-way with the carpet. After that it just pulls out. When re-installing make sure the vent openings match up.
