I have a 92 Coupe that I want to get the glass replaced the P.O. let the wipers scratch the glass. Is the windshield glued in on these cars or is there some type of rubber seal? Thanks in advance for responses.
They Cut the Windshield out of the car and the "A" Pillar (Windshield frame) gets cleaned up then a Layer of a Windshield Adhesive is applied to install Windshield. One Casualty unless your installer is Gifted and your Front Roof Weather Strip is NOT to stuck on they are usually Lost in the Install. So I would be prepared for a replacement Front Roof Panel Weather Strip, and possibly the weather-strip tracks if they get damaged in their removal to gain Access to the edges of the Glass.

Any Idea where I might look for the weatherstrip tracks?
The top rail should be available at Ecklers, the side rails are a little tougher no remanufactured are just jumping out. But there are some very good corvette wrecking yards my favorite one is Mirrock in Saltsburg P.A. Give them a call and he can carefully remove what you need and ship.
. Odds are you won't need the tracks they do come off with a little hair drier heat and Broad stiff Putty knife and you can recreate the seal between the tracks and car with RTV or Double face tape.
