Re: Which Brake Fuild to use??? (oldace84)
Gosh......what does that tell me/us??????
I don't know, maybe that you don't use the search feature? This topic comes up about once a month or so.
I like the Ford HD fluid as well. Using ATE super blue right now. Have used the Valvoline as well. Would like the Valvoline more if it came in a metal can.
Use a DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid and flush every two years. Don't allow any air into the system.
I use the Ford HD fluid in between track days. It's a good fluid for the price and available at almost every larger Ford dealer. The wet and dry boiling points are good for agressive street use. For track days, I replace the Ford fluid with ATE Super Blue. After track use, it's back to the Ford fluid.
I have boiled the Ford fluid on the track before, so I do this just as a saftey concern.

I started out using the new Valvoline fluid. I don't go to the twisty track with the car. I've got to replace my rear pads tomorrow, first time replacing rears, new experience...got some Hawk street pads to match my fronts.
