Default anyone using TPIS cold air induction?

they also call this peice a "racing intake". i have just ordered this unit and was wondering if any of you guys have used this and wht were the track results. im searching for 12s on a L98 as stock as i can get it. right now ive done 13.20 with really nothing more than some exhaust work and DRs. TPIS claims 2 tenths and 2 mph with this mod. im confident that i could go 13.1x with a better launch, then im hoping the CAI will push me into the 12s. i know this peice will really only affect the 2nd half of the quarter, but this is where my TPI engine needs help anyway. the first 1/8 is explosive, but it falls of after that. thanks in advance

I run the SLP ram air; worth about 5hp over cut lid with K&N.

To pick up that .2sec, toss the "frisbee", install a 160deg stat and cut back the spark plug ground electrodes.

Stage as shallow as possible and launch as close to 1,500rpm as possible.

A vigilante or pro-torque converter will put you into the 12's. Those are very strong numbers from a 89 car!!

I have it and am happy with it. I don't have any "before" 1/4 times, but just by looking at how it's installed, it appears that it does what it claims. I'd be interested to see what gains you get in the 1/4 after installing.

I too have been looking but want to see the before and after as its not that cheap  but if it works as they say, it would be money well spent in my opinion. :yesnod:

Please keep us posted on your findings

:bb MY BAD :bb

I have the SLP, not the TPIS unit.

The TPIS is pretty expensive. If you haven't thought about it, the link below is for the SLP if you want to take a look.
