I have noticed more pedal pressure is needed to stop my 96 6spd car. Today I heard a "hissing" sound down in the drivers footwell when applying the brakes. The harder I pushed the louder it got.
so I am guessing my power brake booster has gone **** up on me.
What is this little project going to be like? DIY or is it one of those jobs well worth shop fees?
Hey, I had the same problem one time. It was the power brake booster diaphram was gone. It wasn't too terrible of a job, did it by myself and the easiest way I found was to rmove the drivers seat. Then lay on my back with my head under the pedals to do the inside part.I don't recall it being to bad. good luck, Gary

I would say it's a 2 on a scale of 5 difficulty. Did it on my 86.
