Out my '94 Z28 I have the measurements and will attach some pix. But my LT1 didn't have the powdered metal rods, instead it had the regular forged rods which I think were called "pink rods" so rod weights may be different - but not the piston weight.

Sooo. It looks like the summit "stage 1" rods are closest in weight to the forged LT1 rods. 600 grams. part # SME-3-48-05B100 $270.00
The eagle 'SIR" rods appear to be lighter, at 535 grams part # ESP-5700BBLW $260.00.
Scat rods seem to be 595 grams, part # SCA-35700 $ 255
The pistons I'm looking at are Sealer power H597, which come in at 552 grams. Just a hair heavier than the stock LT1 pistons.
I don't want to spend money re-balancing the factory crank for a street car, so I'm wondering if I should just deal with the 20-25 gram difference or go with the lighter rod.. Hrmm..

you have to balance an engine using small end weight- reciprocating weight and big end weight rotating weight as separate measurements, so unless you weigh your components in such a manner you would need to re-balance even if the weights were the same overall... the distribution immensely effects the balance.
