Default Drive shaft question 1996 LT1

The front of the drive shaft slips into the tranny correct? It does not bolt on? Thanks.

Yes, the driveshaft "yoke" slips into the tranny, no bolts. The driveshaft IS attached to the yoke via U-joint as shown in the pic below

FYI: The one in the pic is from a manual transmission, most automatic transmission cars have a large round "vibration damper" like thing attached to the yoke, but they both just slide in. The two yoke types are NOT interchangeable.
