Hey guys I just noticed a puddle of coolant under my car this evening. Does anybody have any ideas before I start chasing the leak down? I’m thinking water pump but I’m not sure. The car hasn’t been cranked in over a week. The drips are coming from about where you see the two nuts toward the top of the pics. The front of the car is to the right of the pics. PS...it’s an ‘89 L98.

Problem is that it is so tight in there that where the drips are is probably not directly below where the leak is coming from. I'd check the water pump first and you'll probably be able to find it by feel pretty easy. Feel for the wet spot on the hoses,

You could borrow from an Autozone a cooling system pressurizer which should make the leak show up when pumped up. Dan

In addition to pressurizing the cooling system, if you use something like the Prestone yellow/green antifreeze, it fluoresces under a black light. Put the car in the dark and hit it with the black light. It should show up where it's leaking and running down the block. Found a bad hose that way.
