My clutch grabs all the way at the top of the pedal travel.About 2 inchs from the top.Is my clutch on the way out.It isn't slipping and it shifts fine. How hard is it to do?
as for difficulty? I don't think its that bad... I never did mine, but was able to watch the techs do it... the book calls for about 5 hours. beleive it or not!
my only suggestion? stay away from SPEC clutches... I had nothing but problems with mine... I ended up reinstalling factory GM parts.
***EDIT***
one thing - the gear box is removable from the bell housing... but the damned thing weighs 150lbs or so!!!!!!
The car has 61,000 on it.I don't know if it's the original clutch.I hope I can get the winter out of it.I put maybe 100 miles a month on it and I don't beat on it.I've done a ton of clutchs in old muscle cars,so I don't think this would be any differant.Just some extra junk added to it and a heavier trans.
