This is a part out of my 1985 Corvette. Does anyone have an idea of what it is

I have no idea what this is or where it goes. thank you all

Looks like a O2 sensor, goes into the exhaust

Clyde,

I think you are right. The O2 sensor is connected. So maybe this is one that was in the car. I can't see anything missing. And it has the same connector as the O2 sensor. Thank you

^^^X2. An 02 has a perforated end on it so the exhaust gas can get inside it. That just has a flat end. Not and 02 sensor.

My bet is with the EGR Temp Sensor also. See if there is one in the RH rear exhaust manifold tube..

Looks like you were very good at detective shows. I disconnected the EGR and I guess that is why it has no home. Thank you all

its an egr temp sensor. if you have had your egr deleted you can dispose of it. that said, it does not appear to be a stock 85 egr temp sensor as the length of the wire should be longer to my knowledge. that looks like a 86+ egr temp sensor which has a shorter wire. i might be wrong but i do not think so!
