Long tube headers.
Getting ready to put the new combo together and figured I should slap a set of headers on it while everything is out the car.
What's the best set of long tubes for a '94 Car? Retaining emissions stuff doesn't matter.
Car will be a stock bottomed ended LT1, Canfield fully ported LT1 heads, LT4 Hotcam Kit, B&B Tri-Flo Cat back exhaust.
Check out my website http://www.wku.edu/~nathan.plemons/ for some pictures of the engine bay with these.
I was over at a friends shop close to two weeks ago (where my Corvette is sitting right now) I was in the process of putting the new combo together, needed a bolt so I left to go to Lowes to get one. I was in my Regal and never made it to Lowes :( However, several of my buds have got all the parts I had purchased together and have vowed to finish the car for me while I recover. I will likely be selling some parts off the Regal this week to another friend with a Turbo Buick so will have some unexpected money that I may be able to rollover into a set of headers for the Vette.

Any idea where's/who's the best/cheapest to purchase them from?
You might can get a Y pipe for these headers, but you don't need it because the LT1 has a dual exhaust anyway. Aftermarket exhaust will not bolt up, nor does the factory, but the modifications required are minimal. Basically you just have to shorted one pipe, extend another and install a header collector adapter thingy (real technical huh?)
I had a local shop do it for me, I had him fabricate an x-pipe from scratch at the same time, it cost me $100. Not too bad and I'm sure the x-pipe is what cost most of that.
Plug wire routing is something of an issue. None of the stock wire looms will be there so you have to find your own way. Personally I've got the tie-wrap method. It's not real pretty but it does work and can be fully customized. There are plenty of aftermarket wire loom setups that should work just fine. I wasn't using the stock looms anyway because my MSD 8.5 mm wires wouldn't fit them.
As for the header coating I would really suggest the coating that http://www.speeddemonmotorsports.com uses. I have no idea what it is but it's been a year now and my headers look like they did on day1. They have a little bit of dirt on them but no rust, no flaking or peeling.
