Default vibration

After having a local chev dealer replace my clutch and throw out bearing, the car now has a vibration at 3000 rpm. Today i drove it about 200 hundred miles and the vibration stayed with me un to 95 miles an hour.

They claim that they had the clutch and fly wheel balanced.

Does anyone have any ideas?

This happened to another forum member two years ago, after 6 trips back to the shop, guess what? The clutch and flywheel were out of balance even after they verified it wasn't. Then he took it to a different shop, they put in a used clutch and flywheel(almost new really) and the vibration was gone.

Have them verify it in person, maybe ask if you can watch them and take it from there.

Either that, or maybe the driveshaft is out of phase.

If the driveshaft is not aligned parallel to the rear end ( hopefully directly in line ) there can be a drive shaft vibration at certain speeds. This alignment is set when the center torque tube is tightened down, a necessary part of changing the clutch.

If it vibrates sitting in neutral at that rpm, then it's definitely not the driveshaft. In that case, it would have to be the clutch out of balance or trans case not mounted straight.
