Default LS7 into a ZF Trans C4

So you can put a LS in a Mazda or a Subaru or a Nissan but it seems you can not swap one into a C4 with a ZF trans.
I have found a bell housing ( Quick times 6039 ) but can not find a hydraulic release bearing that is still in production unless one of you has a Mcloud 1345 sitting on a shelf you would be willing to sell Mcloud has a push style clutch that will work from the new Camaro ( you just can not tell them what you are using bit on or f---s them rite up )

Some of you must have been thru this before any advise is appercated
Thanks
Dan

Curious why you want to run a ZF trans? Not sure if your LS7 is stock or modified, but either way I would run the beefer 6 spd tremec.6060

Trying to use what I all ready have If I have to buy a new transmission I guess its the way it goes but then what do you do to adapt the C frame to the back of another trans?

The 6039 BH can be used with a 4+3 fork and push-style clutch. You'll need to fab a bracket to mount a CNC slave off the BH bolts
and fab the pushrod to length.

The TR 6060 is not beefier. He likely wants the ZF b/c
1. it's "beefier"
2. it shifts better
3. it fits the car (C-beam)
4. he already owns it.

OP, have you called and talked to Tilton?

Their 6000 Series for the LS/LT w/ TKO 500/600 might be a direct fit if the bearing retainer of the ZF6 and the TKO are the same diameter. If they are aren't the same, the Universal 6000 Series threaded retainer collar can be machined to fit the ZF6 retainer diameter.

Also, I know Tilton makes a throwout bearing for the BMW ZF6 and they might have one with a flat faced bearing (for bent finger clutches) that might bolt right up.

http://tiltonracing.com/product/6000...ease-bearings/

If you check out their technical info on this page ^^^ you can see the measurements.

I don't remember the names of the two guys I talked to over there but they really knew their stuff and helped me out when I picked their 6000 LS TKO throwout bearing setup for my swapped car. It is a "beefy" setup for sure and it can also be rebuilt.

Good luck.

Ram Clutches makes a bearing for this application I have one....mine is a 1996 ZF...what year is yours because the diameter of the bearing collar is important... the later ZF's had a smaller diameter

I put no spacers behind my bearing using the same Quicktime 6039, Ram 78135 bearing, Mcleod Twin Disc RXT behind my 5.3
