calling 65z01 please help
Hi Jim can you please help me :)
I am trying to use the correction data from your web site but i can't get it straight in my head  It hurts :smash:
Could you please put my figures into your equations so i can see were every thing goes
Here are my stats temp
11 degC,
Hum 75%,
baro 1004.1
dew point 7 degC,
15mph head wind straight down the strip !
my time and speed was
12.843@105mph
also what bhp am i making ?
If i could see this once i would get it, but at the moment all iv'e got is a headeach.
Thanks Mark
It's never easy...for one thing the units you are using are not those in the equations. To calculate HP:
baro (inch/Hg) - need to be converted
temp (deg F) - need to be converted
launch weight (lbs) - needs to be supplied.
From your launch weight (in lbs), trap speed (in MPH) and ET (in sec.) you can calculate crank HP.
Then you can use the weather parameters, baro (in inch of Hg) and temperaure (in deg. F), to normalize time slip data as well as calculated crank HP.
To avoid headaches, I use a MS Excel spread sheet to normalize my time slips and HP. Then you can even include the units conversions into the equations.
Note that within the two normaization equations the base readings are:
29.1 (in inch Hg) - baro
35 (deg. F) - temperature
I assumed your Corvette at launch weighed 3,355 lbs and came up with 303 CHP.
