In LATE 1985 K09 was the 120 amp alternator it had more amperage and better cooling than the EARLY K90 108 alternator all I know
my 85 Z51 had V08 Heavy duty cooling which was RPO VO1 HD radiator + added cooling fan and RPO KC4 Engine oil cooler.and ithe extra coolinf was a PLUS here in Florida with a 160 stat car ran in the 160-180 range all the time
