NEED HELP WITH IDLE ???????
Will I put new Dist. Cap and Rotor and Plugs in, now it won't Idle right.
I need to smog it and it did need to be change, so It did idle and run just fine before the change. Now it idles at 500 and jumps around, and on exceleration it pings witch it never did befor. Also now the cooling temp
gauge is not working dose it work off the cooling fan switch if it is bad
will that make it Idle bad and ping on exceleration. :confused:

You may want ot check your timing and your vacume presure. You may have accidentally pulled of a vacume line or wire harness while you were working on your car. As for the coolant sensor I am not sure on your dash as ours are different but they don't work off each other.

I'd double and then triple check your spark plug wires to make sure they're going to the right cylinders. Most of us have crossed a wire at one time or another......uh...except for me of course :blueangel: .
