I have ALL new components installed in my EGR system now. But I've noticed that I still get that dreaded code #32 EGR system failure code and CHECK ENGINE light once in a while when I first start the cold engine. It will usually shut off after the engine is up to operating temperature. Or it will shut off when I turn the engine off and restart it. The engine runs perfectly though. What am I missing??
Its calling an EGR code immediately at startup? That should not happen.
EGR only functions at some throttle percentage (cannot remember the percentage) when the engine is over ~170F. You basically should be cruising at speed on the highway or a country road for it to activate in the first place.
Yes. It comes on immediately when starting the cold engine.
Then either the SES is not a Code 32 or the EGR system is not the problem. It should not set until commanded on, and the computer looks for the voltage change, which sets the code.

I've run a code check every time it comes on. It's always a code #32.
