Looking for suggestions on a replacement cam for my '87. The transmission is coming out this winter for a rebuild and a new TC, so I might as well pull the engine and go thru it (rings, bearings, valves, ect.) I plan on keeping it pretty much "stock". I would like a cam that will operate with the stock computer and give me a little more power. This car is a daily driver and most of my commute to work is on secondary roads at lower speeds. Is there a cam that gives better performance at lower and midrange rpm where I spend most of my time? Thanks.
I can't help you out about the cameither (sorry)...but welcome aboard...I am from Granby...like pretty close to you...Iam sure someone will soon post you an answer....these guys on here are the best.
65z01 probably sent you a few neat things to look at, the accel 211 or tpis zz9 always have gotten great reviews when installed in a stock engine also.
I'm curious as well... When I had my heads done I had 125# springs put in but I dont think hey will stand the lift of the LPE219,, especially with 1.6 rollers all the way around.. Soooo I'm thinkin maybe a different cam??? Still want to retain as much of the torque at the bottom as possible...
