Might b a dumb question but i gotta be sure..I ordered new magna flow mufflers...The tabs for the hangers are straight but my original mufflers had the tab vertical with a hole so it could bolt to the stock hanger..Do you now remove the hanger and insert the tab of new muffler through the insulator or do i need to get a different style hanger...Here is a pic of my original hanger..

Talked corvette central. .They are designed to remove hanger and insert tab into insulator..Now they definitly perform better then muffler eliminators but the LT1 tips are almost impossible to get straight without cutting the Y pipe..Otherwise the magna flows are pretty good..
Had the same issues with this on my 87 coupe. Ended up going to a muffler shop and they welded them up to get the tips straight. Too bad they did a crap job and left the pipes drooping down about 3 inches from the differential. Didn't notice till a week later, couldn't go back to have them fix it since they went out of business.
