Coolant Leak..Help
My car seems to have devloped a coolant leak from somewhere, its dripping off from underneath the car near the right rear of the engine compartment, but there is also coolant underneath the front of the motor on the little tray beneath the belts...it doesnt seem to be leaking a lot as I haven not gotten a low coolant light or noticed an increase in engine temps...my questions is what is the best way to diagnose where the leak is coming from?

Check the weep hole near the water pump. stick a qtip up there and see if it comes out wet. If so water pump is history. also check around the clamps of all the hoses as the hoses tend to compress when it gets cold (i.e tighten the clamps). Good luck

Or it could be an intake gasket (pretty common). Look around where the heads and intake come together and also in the valley area. Sometimes it gets so bad you can smell it......... :seeya

yeah you can definitly smell it, thats how I first noticed that something was wrong...unfortunatly I am kinda tied up for the next few days but hopefully thurs or friday I will be able to get it up on a lift at my buddies house
