Upper ball joints
Hey.
Friend of mine just got new upper ball joints for his C4..they are ac delcos but they did not come with the retaining plate..Does this mean he has to drill out the smaller rivots to reuse the old plate or does he just not use a retaing plate at all with the new ball joints..

I don't have any pictures of when I did mine, but I used AC Delco uppers. On mine the upper ball joint looked thicker like it had the plate built in. Compare them and make sure, otherwise you might need to get a replacement.

Elias AC Delco advantage is what i used..And it does look like the plate is built in.The thickness is the same as the original..Just wanted to make sure..
