Default Exhaust question...

Ok for all of you exhaust guys out there, what would happen if I were to run one shorty and one long tube header. In this theoretical situation what would any side effects be on the engine?

you would have more back pressure on one bank, that doesnt seem like its good for an engine

Wouldn't do it. You would also have 1 side running leaner than the other becuase of the nice scavenging effects longtubes provide.

This is not a debate of whether or not I should do this......it is what would happen if I did....how would the engine run? side effects and such.

Sorry, ok, would this leaning cause any mishapps to occure, perhaps detonation or missing or something like that?

You could get detonation from the lean condition making cylinder temperatures hotter. You won't be able to tune correctly as you will always have one bank different from the other.
