1992 LT1 that had factory BOSE system. I replaced all the speakers and have run new speaker wire up to where the head unit will go. I purchased wiring adapter Metra 70-1857 which I thought would plug in to the cords that came off the factory radio that are still sitting where the head unit will go. Those plugs don’t fit into the harness. What and I missing? I read a few post and can’t seem to get a concrete answer as to whether or not this harness plugs directly into the cdm which I believe is under the passenger dash. I would rather not have to go underneath the dash on the passenger side. Is there a work around?

Ok. I found it. The CDM or ECM on. 92 is under the dash passenger side. You don’t plug the harness in to the CDM, you unplug the wires that are closest to the door and plug them into your wiring harness.
