Default CD Player Problem

In another thread I mentioned that I just bought a '93. It has what the PO told me is a stock radio with a single CD player. He told me the last time he used the CD player the CD got stuck and he had trouble getting it out. I'm just wondering if this is unheard of or is it a known problem with this CD player, picture below.

Thanks folks for any input you might provide.

I bought a '92 last year and when i put a cd in the player it got stuck and i coudn't even use the radio till i got the cd out.
It wasn't easy getting that sucker out either.
Someday i'll replace it with a newer player,i guess Crutchfield still has adapters for it.

There's been a CD stuck in the head unit of my Blazer for years. It's gonna stay there, too...

Live well,

To the contrary, I play CDs in mine (96) all of the time. No issues ejecting.

Perhaps spray a bit of electronics cleaner in the door followed up with some canned air.

Well, I guess this is going to be one of my first projects on my new 'vette along with the antenna, wheels, seat and A/C. I'm having fun already and I haven't even started.
