High idle problem solved
Turns out the temp. sensor or connector was bad. The mechanic also found the distributor was loose and bouncing back and forth. All this fixed by a certified GM mechanic for less than 60 bucks. Can't beat that. I know not all of the GM mechanics are the best in the world but this guy has diagnosed problems before and he knows his cookies. :yesnod: :cheers:

Nice to know there are mechanics that can actually do something besides explaining why they were wrong the first time. Forced to do my own work because of most of the local mechanics. Had brake work on my daughter's car and they left the lug nuts barely started. Scarey. Almost lost the front wheel in heavy traffic.
Tried another when I got my vette and the nimrods cross threaded lugs on both passenger wheels. I have an 89 and the lugs are a real lovejoy to change.
