Default Performance Rear Spring

I am using the Dana 44 rear end and suspension in my C3. I have been using the VB&P Duel Mount set up. I have had two spring fallers with very little use. Since VB&P is long gone its not like I'm going to order another replacement. I have no intention of going to a Coil Over. I understand there were many spring rates threw out the C4 era. What are You running ?

not gonna want to hear this; VB&P 480 inch / pound spring, roughly equivalent to first C4 Z51 springs, you know the ones too stiff for regular use; LOL. seriously VB&P told me that 500 inch lbs was recommended limit for street use; maybe someone has one of these beauties for sale. I'm really happy with mine...and no, side roads in the Sierra foothills aren't all that smooth, or smooth at all?

The above BMF 411lb Spring is now headed in my direction. Thanx. Near as I can tell the Hyperco Springs must be reproductions of the originals. Looks like they are making a 411lb one that is considered there Track Spring and also a Street Spring which I'm not sure of the rating but is probably the same as one of the lighter OEM ones. Is anybody using anything different other than the stock Shims and Spacers that the Factory used in the Center ? Same for the Mounts, just the OEM brackets ?

Don't know about the BMF spring, but the VBP spring eliminated the use of spacers and shims (making IMHO a simpler, cleaner installation); your aftermarket spring may or may not be the same
